Good News to Report about Kharrisa Indigo - And My Mom

There has been much terrible news in our Second Life LGBT community lately.  We have lost some great residents lately who were loved by many, including Cool Jonesford and Publisher Fabrice Snook. In addition, several of us have lost someone very close --- I will not list them here, because some of this information is personal.  But all in all, the past month has been a hard time for many.

I do have some good news to share. 

Kharrisa Indigo, who is a great part our community, adored by many, and active in organizations like Second Pride  -- had a health scare that required her to be in the hospital for a while earlier in January. Kharrisa was inworld yesterday and was  partying at Regi Yifu's surprise party with many of us, and sounded great when she was talking to me.

This is a huge relief-- that Kharrisa is inworld and doing well.

On another note, my Mom who lives near me in Florida, is coming home today. On December 15, I had to rush my mom into the hospital with major breathing problems and chest pain. . She needed emergency open heart surgery- for about six hours -- some really big stuff-- and a long recovery after.

She has not only survived the surgery, she has done so with flying colors, and is coming home  this morning for the first time since then.   She appears to have made a great recovery, which is a tremendous relief for me. This explains my absence from Second Life, particularly in the evenings, for a while.


I have been taking care of her nasty cat who doesn't like me that me that much for six weeks, and it will be relief not having to feed the little princess every day and take care of her litter box.

Just clean my box and feed me Eddi - Don't even try to come close!

BTW - that is not my mom above, but Sophia Lauren. You don't expect me to run her real picture here, do you?

So, there is some good to report along with the bad news.
