Photography Tips: How To Transform a Bad Image Using Free Picasa Software



I used 4 techniques in Picasa software (a free download from Google) to achieve this look with a poor portrait of Ryce:

1. I toned the red down (see original image below) with a blue/green tint.

2. I used the Orton setting to achieve the glowing three-dimensional look

3. I used a very dark green vignette to frame the portrait (the edge that is dark)

4. I framed the photo with a gold and black border.
